Mia Saldanha is a London-based filmmaker and camera trainee from Portugal. After moving to the UK alone at 17, she began building a career in film through both independent filmmaking and professional camera department work.

Speaking English, Portuguese, and Spanish, she approaches storytelling through a multicultural lens informed by a background in visual arts, design, dance, and cinema.

Her work is united by a recurring fascination with time: its passage, its distortions, and its influence on memory, faith, identity, and human connection. Through both narrative and non-narrative filmmaking, she explores how people live alongside forces they cannot control, yet constantly attempt to understand.

Alongside her self-directed work, Mia is building a growing body of credits across high-end television and major feature films, working within camera teams on productions ranging from independent projects to large-scale international productions.
